What is RSS? The Basics.. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. To most this could mean anything but at a basic level, RSS allows information to be delivered to you rather than having to find it yourself saving you time. What use is it to me..Well, It takes the hassle out of staying up-to-date, by showing you the very latest information that you are interested in. Currently not all websites currently provide RSS, but it is growing rapidly in popularity and most websites do provide RSS News feeds. How do i use them...In general, the first thing you need is something called a news reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. All allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want to read. Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is to decide what content you want. For example, if you would like to read the "Top5websites.com - Articles" feed, simply click on the RSS Reader button on the left hand side. If you are using a RSS reader then look and see if the website has a link to your reader, if there is you can then just click on the logo and sign in to add the feed. If they don't then go your reader, Search for the RSS News feed or Type in the Address of it and you can then add the RSS News feed to your account. RSS Reader & Directory...
